Themed Family Lodges, Landal Gwel an Mor.

Themed family lodge interiors delivered for a Cornish holiday resort, July 2025

Scope
Theme concept, custom wallpaper, furniture, styling and finishing details
Client
Landal Gwel an Mor

Gwel an Mor sits above Portreath on the north Cornish coast and runs its own wildlife centre at Feadon Farm — falconry, foxes, reindeer. Families come for that as much as for the sea, and it is the thread the themed lodges pull on.

Each lodge takes a single idea and follows it the whole way through rather than applying it as decoration. The published one is the fairy lodge: a custom-printed wall mural, layered three-dimensional butterflies carried up over the coving, and a full-height mirror set to double the scene so the room reads larger than it is.

The rest of the lodge stays quiet: a neutral open-plan living space under the vaulted timber ceiling, so the theme is concentrated in the rooms where it does the most work.

The fairy lodge is one of three themes, alongside animals and pirates. The animal artwork is by Caroline Walker, an artist based in Cornwall.

“We teamed up — as always — with the exceptional Beverley Bramwell, whose interior styling brings the magic, texture and escapism that ties everything together.”

  • Fairy-themed bedroom at Landal Gwel an Mor: a custom printed wall mural with layered paper butterflies over the coving, doubled by a tall framed mirror.
  • Wall art of a rabbit blowing a pink bubblegum bubble, above an oak bench in a themed family lodge at Gwel an Mor.

  • Close view of the arched fairy door in the mural, its gilded detailing framed by moss and glowing toadstools above the bed.
  • A round reading nook set into a sage-green wall, lined with olive and blush cushions including a hedgehog print, beside a potted tree in a woven basket.
  • Firefly-lit forest mural running the full wall behind a bed dressed in blush bouclé cushions, reflected in a framed mirror opposite.
  • Dressing-table detail: pink blossom in a textured vase, an oak task lamp with a paper butterfly clipped to the shade, and a butterfly print above.
  • Open-plan lodge living space at Landal Gwel an Mor, with twin grey sofas and an oak coffee table beneath a vaulted timber ceiling.
  • Twin bedroom in a themed lodge at Landal Gwel an Mor — terracotta throws, grey upholstered beds and wildlife-themed wall art.
