Thirty years of interiors.
An interior design, furnishing and contract furniture business — based in Selsey, working UK-wide and overseas.

Where it came from
Thirty years, and it started with a shop window.
Beverley Bramwell started at eighteen as a window dresser, working for major high-street retailers and travelling throughout the UK. She spent those years with a number of companies, the last of them Laura Ashley, where the work developed into home furnishings and she went on to coordinate it across the UK, Europe and North America.
She left to establish her own design business. The projects since have run from restaurants, golf clubs, spas and beauty salons to residential homes, apartment developments, outdoor environments and furniture and product design — before the business moved increasingly into hospitality, leisure and resorts, and into contract furniture.
That background still shows in how the work is done. Schemes are planned to be built and lived in rather than drawn, and products are checked against how they will actually be used before they are specified.

Our story
A design business that grew into hospitality and leisure.
Thomas Bramwell did not start as a lodge interiors business. The design work came first, across restaurants, golf clubs, spas, beauty salons, residential homes, apartment developments, outdoor environments and furniture and product design. The move into hospitality, leisure, resorts and contract furniture happened gradually, out of that work rather than instead of it.
That progression is why the business can be asked to design a complete interior on one project, furnish dozens of units on another, design a bar and seating area on a third, and simply supply contract furniture on a fourth. The capability was built up over thirty years, not assembled for a brochure.
It is also why there is a Thomas Bramwell Collection — sofas, beds, headboards, mattresses, armchairs and cushions, designed and developed by us and manufactured for us in the UK. Alongside it we develop bespoke pieces where a project needs them, and source the rest from a network of specialist suppliers. We are not an interior designer buying everything in.

Design capability
A scheme is drawn and agreed before anything is ordered.
The design work is where a project is decided. Space planning settles how a room has to function before furniture is chosen for it, CAD drawings set out what goes where, and 3D design and CGI visualisation show the client what the finished space will look like while it is still possible to change it. Specifications and finish and furniture schedules then carry those decisions through procurement, supply and installation, so what arrives on site is what was agreed.
- Space planning
- How the room has to work (circulation, covers, sightlines and the constraints of the building), resolved before anything is specified.
- CAD drawings
- Scaled layouts and elevations setting out what goes where, for the client, the contractor and everyone working to the same scheme.
- 3D design & CGI
- Visualisation of the finished interior, so a scheme can be seen, discussed and changed before it is committed to.
- Specifications
- Item by item, with the use, environment and requirements of the project written against each one.
- Furniture & finishes
- Furniture, fabrics, finishes and lighting selected together and presented as a scheme rather than as separate decisions.
- Through to installation
- The same specification carried into procurement, supply and, where it forms part of the scope, installation.
Breadth of experience
Two examples, and exactly what we did on each.
Thirty years builds a long client list, and a list of names on its own tells you very little. These two say precisely what Thomas Bramwell did.
- Away Resorts
- Outdoor furniture supplied to a number of their resorts, existing holiday homes refurbished, and interiors designed, supplied and installed across various resorts.
- Hilton Manchester Deansgate
- Furniture designed by Thomas Bramwell and supplied for the spa.
The work has run across Cornwall and throughout the UK, including the Isle of Wight, Scotland and Kent, alongside private projects overseas in Spain, Italy and Morzine. It has been done with developers, designers, garden designers, resort operators, lodge manufacturers, hotels, restaurants, bars and spas, and leisure businesses.

Sustainability
Eco-led since 2012.
Our Ecollection recycled-plastic furniture and planters featured in Aralia Garden Design’s Rooftop Workplace of Tomorrow at the RHS Chelsea Flower Show in 2012, which took a Silver Flora medal, and our work was recognised in Kevin McCloud’s Green Heroes in 2014. Where the scheme allows we specify FSC-certified timber, recycled-plastic outdoor ranges and UK manufacture — which also shortens lead times.

Design heritage
Eco-credible long before it was fashionable.
In 2012 our Ecollection Bison furniture and planters, made from recycled plastics, featured in Aralia Garden Design’s Rooftop Workplace of Tomorrow at the RHS Chelsea Flower Show, and that garden was awarded a Silver Flora medal. The work earned recognition from Kevin McCloud, leading to our selection as one of his Green Heroes in 2014. At St George Chelsea Creek we designed and installed rooftop planters and seating manufactured from recycled plastic.
The C-Swing belongs to the same period — an original bespoke Thomas Bramwell design, manufactured in Asia for the Chelsea Flower Show project. A single sweeping form in powder-coated aluminium with an outdoor-grade cushion, designed as the piece a terrace is arranged around rather than another seat in a set.
Neither the Bison range nor the C-Swing is part of the current Collection. They are here because thirty years of design work is the reason the business can do what it does now, and because we continue to specify recycled and responsibly sourced materials where a scheme allows.
